January/February Issue of China Briefing Magazine Online Now
Jan. 12 – The new January/February issue of China Briefing magazine is online and available for download (complimentary subscription available).
The issue deals with expatriate individual income tax in China, describing the circumstances under which expatriate employees and visiting businessmen in China are subject to income tax, the applicable rates, and permitted allowances. A quick calculation guide to determine taxable amounts is included, as is a report on the procedures for obtaining work visas, including the new criminal record certificate requirement.
The regular 3TC (third-tier city) feature focuses this month on Harbin, Changshu, Zhongshan, Datong and Lhasa.
2009 marks the tenth anniversary of the magazine, which is produced ten times a year and is written largely by the China investment and tax practice Dezan Shira & Associates.
