Wind power
The first two phases of the Dailiji 1.4 million kilowatts wind farm, built by Guohua Energy Investment Co. Ltd., began producing electricity on December 30, 2008. This development stage of the project has an installed capacity of 100,000 kilowatts. The wind farm is located at the Horqin Left Wing Middle Banner in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and is part of a larger, RMB15 billion project.
Air transport
Korean Air announced that by 2010 it would start operating flights to more than 30 cities in China. This month, China and the Republic of Korea will commence talks regarding the air transport connections between the two countries.
China Eastern Airlines said that because of jet fuel hedging last year, it now has a recorded net profit of US$6.28 million from the move.
