A complimentary intelligence service for businesspeople who cannot attend: Xiamen downloadable investment brochure also available

Sept. 3 – This year’s Xiamen China International Fair for Investment and Trade, scheduled to begin on Monday, September 8, will provide the foreign investor in China plenty of food for thought as once again, all of China’s provincial governments and major cities will set out their stalls explaining the types of investments they are looking for, investment incentives and available resources.

Now in its 12th year, the international aspect on this occasion is provided by 49 countries including Belgium, France, Sweden and Spain who have all booked booths at the fair. The United States, Australia and Turkey plan to host “the country’s day” events, and Brazil, Russia, India, France and Spain have plans to launch investment promotion campaigns. Lasting for three days, the fair is a unique opportunity to evaluate what is going on in China as a whole.

If you are unable to attend yet require specific investment information on a particular area in China, we will have people on the ground at the event and will be able to assist. Please just email xiamentradefair@china-briefing.com with the information you’d like to have, together with contact details, a quick bio of your needs and your business, and we’ll try our best to get the brochures and materials you need (manufacturers and buyers only please, we regret we cannot accept Xiamen research requests from other consulting firms).

In other Xiamen news, the new Xiamen – Xinglin Bridge has just opened. A brand new, 8.53 kilometer (7.48 of which crosses the sea) link opened to traffic on Monday, becoming Xiamen’s fifth ocean-spanning link. It is the longest sea bridge in Xiamen, comprising of six traffic lanes, and reduces travel time from the harbor and free trade zone to downtown Xiamen and onto China’s national highway system to just 30 minutes. The journey previously took nearly four hours.
