Solar power
China plans to build its largest solar powerhouse connected to the grid in Qinghai’s Qaidam Basin. The construction of the 1 GW project will start in the latter part of 2009. Initially, RMB1 billion will be invested.
Air transport
Cathay Pacific Airways said that its wholly-owned subsidiary Cathay Pacific Services Limited (CPSL) inked a supplemental agreement with the Airport Authority of Hong Kong. Under the terms, CPSL can postpone the completion of its new cargo terminal for a maximum of 24 months, up to mid-2013.
