Russian Oil Pipeline Nears Chinese Border
The East Siberia – Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil pipeline funded by Russia’s state-owned Transneft will reach the Chinese border within the next few weeks, according to a government report read by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. (Communist Tax Lawyer)

India Proposes Anti-Dumping on Cold-Rolled Steel
India has increased the import duty on cold-rolled stainless steel, due to an excessive influx of under-priced stainless steel from China, the United States, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, South Africa and Thailand. The directorate general of anti-dumping has proposed a maximum levy of US$ 1,823 per ton of cold-rolled steel on imports from China. Exporters of cold-rolled steel from China have been found to be under cutting prices to Indian importers in order to sell more during the slump. (India Briefing)

Obama Accepts Invitation to China
U.S. President Barack Obama and Chinese President Hu Jintao discussed a long list of issues during an hour-long meeting in London on the eve of the Group of 20 summit. During the meeting, President Obama accepted “with pleasure” an invitation extended to him by President Hu to visit China sometime later this year. (Communist Tax Lawyer)

Chinese Workers Head to Vietnam
Chinese workers have been flooding Vietnam to work on huge Chinese industrial projects in the electricity, cement, building and chemical sectors. One construction project located in Quang Ninh province has as much as 2,000 Chinese workers while using cement and electricity coming from Chinese companies. (Vietnam Briefing)
