China Briefing Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
SHANGHAI, Jul. 16 – China Briefing celebrated a decade of publishing at Kathleen’s 5 last night in the company of long-time subscribers, diplomats, clients and friends.
More than 250 guests gathered until late to wish the magazine a happy tenth birthday while enjoying wine, canapés and entertainment provided by OmBraMaiFu.
China Briefing is produced by Asia Briefing and has been published in China since 1999. Through the years, it has continued to provide a wealth of information about doing business in the country and is one of its premium English language publishing businesses.
This includes the well- known China Briefing magazine published monthly along with this daily online business news service. The magazine is written by the tax and legal professionals at Dezan Shira & Associates.
Dezan Shira & Associates’ founder and now managing partner for the India practice, Chris Devonshire-Ellis, talked about the publication’s humble beginnings when it was first printed on two sheets of double-sided A4 paper.
For the night’s raffle draw, Alberto Vettoretti, the managing partner for the China practice and national tax partner Sabrina Zhang were on hand to give out the exciting prizes for lucky guests that included roundtrip tickets to Mumbai courtesy of Air India, travel packages and hotel stays among many others.
Last week, a China Briefing anniversary party was also held at Beijing’s prestigious Capital Club and was well-attended.
China Briefing is now published in French, Italian, German, and Spanish. To answer growing business needs, China Briefing has also developed a portfolio of technical legal and tax business books as well as a national series of regional business guides.
